The Canadian Youth Climate Action Team (CYCAT) was founded in 2021 as a branch of the Youth Climate Action Team with the mission of driving intersectional climate action in Canada. Today, we are a federally registered non-profit organization and have 50+ members from across Canada. To fulfill our mission, we have a newsletter, podcast, and an active social media presence. We also have a policy & advocacy department, and are in the process of establishing school clubs across the country!
Combined with other international branches, we have reached 300,000+ people worldwide, worked with the Environmental Protection Agency, United Nations Environment Programme, White House, the Council on Environmental Quality, Harvard Institute of Politics, Stanford School of Medicine, Commonwealth Club, Climate Reality Project, and more.
