Thank you for your interest in being a part of our team! CYCAT members roles are ideal for Canadian high school/university students who are looking for a relaxed, fully remote volunteering opportunity to get involved in climate action at their own pace.
Below, you can find a detailed description of general roles sorted by department. The list is not exhaustive and can extend beyond the listed responsibilities depending on ongoing projects. Within each department, the roles available will differ based on the department’s responsibilities. All positions are crucial to the organization's success and therefore equally important.
In general, all general members should expect to commit 1 - 2 hours/week, while executive directors should expect to commit 3-4 hours/week. All general members are expected to complete tasks on time, attend weekly 30-45 minute meetings on Sundays at 5:30PM PST (unless you have provided your director with a valid excuse for your absence), and most importantly, have a love for the environment and a desire for change
